Capitol Grand Demolition Event #OneLastSkate

Capitol Grand Demolition Event #OneLastSkate

On Sunday April 3 over 800 excited people came along to the site of the old Fun Factory on the corner of Chapel St and Toorak Road, South Yarra for a day of old-fashioned fun at the ‘One Last Skate’ event held by LK Property Group.

The Fun Factory roller skating rink was back in full swing and guests were also entertained by graffiti artists and face painting. Music was brought to the festivities by NOVA FMs Casanovas and the high-energy hip-hop group The Superhoodz wowed everyone with their high-octane dance routines.

In recognition of the site’s former life as both Capitol Bakeries and Soda Rock, complimentary hot dogs, doughnuts and ice cream were served up to much excitement.

The occasion also celebrated the start of demolition of the site on which Capitol Grand, Melbourne’s first six star residential and luxury retail development, will be built.

To mark the occasion, LK Property Group Executive Director Larry Kestelman was joined by The Hon Philip Dalidakis, State Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade and the Mayor of Stonnington, Cr Claude Ullin to turn the first sod with a commemorative gold shovel.
